I was born in Boise, ID, raised in Phoenix, AZ, lived in Portland, OR for 5 years, lived in Minneapolis, MN for 1.5 years, and currently live in Boise, ID.
I went to charter schools for nearly all of my schooling up to the end of high school, and I spent 11 years of those years dancing competitively (Tap, jazz, etc.). I went to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ after graduating high school, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Biology.
I’m passionate about animals of all kinds, and currently live with two cats. Over my lifetime, I have lived with a total of six dogs, two hamsters, two guinea pigs, two ferrets, three cats, a rabbit, an aquatic frog, and various fish.
I’ve worked for Petco since 2011, and have worked for private shops and attended continuing education seminars. I have been studying animal behavior for my entire life, both inside and outside of school. I have experience with both my own animals and other animals that I have met in my daily travels, including at friend’s houses, animal events, animal shows, pet stores, and dog parks. Through my own businesses, working with Petco, and working private shops, I have also had experience on a professional level with animals.
My passion is and always has been the proper treatment of all animals, both wild and domestic. This proper treatment includes both mental and physical health, and is a necessary part of owning or interacting with any animal.
